The position mission is to discover, develop, and evaluate learning systems and managed ecosystems for agricultural and urban environments. The systems emerging through research and disseminated through teaching and outreach programs contribute to improvements in systems thinking and practice, new technology, crop productivity, environmental quality, and profitability. Our research program is currently developing and evaluating systems for cycling and conserving nutrients in livestock and municipal biosolids through production and transplanting of turfgrass sod.
